Supreme Startrans President

The President combines StarTrans's traditional quality craftsmanship and attention with a heavier-duty chassis for medium-distance transportation needs. With a seating capacity of up to 37 passengers, the President is ideal for Charters, Tours, College transportation, Corporate shuttles, ADA-accessible fixed route, Municipal transit and custom specialty needs.

The President's attractive exterior comes from Alucobond, an aluminum/rubber laminate that allows for seamless construction front-to-back, so the President's sidewalls are straighter than those using a seamed sheet construction. Alucobond also contributes to durability and lasting value. Underneath this stylish exterior, however, you'll find a heart of solid steel in the cage frame.

The President is available in two versions:

Front Engine, built on a Freightliner MB chassis with 25,500 lb. GVWR
Rear Engine, built on a Freightliner XB chassis with full Air-Suspension and 27,000 lb. GVWR Both are powered by the reliable Cummins ISB diesel engine with an Allison automatic transmission

Several enhancements to the traditional medium-duty transit body and interior give the President Series a significant edge in aesthetics and passenger comfort. Innovative, panoramic double-slider 26% tint windows, an advancement over the industry standard of single-slider windows, improve ventilation, air circulation and visibility. It also features wide interior aisles and doors, plush upholstery, spacious luggage racks and more. Seating can be elevated six inches above the coach-type sunken center aisle for maximum headroom while your passengers stand, and maximum visibility when they're seated. And the custom-designed driver's area and control center gives this medium-sized vehicle a big coach feel.

The President Series is available in dozens of floorplans with a wide range of accessories and options, including a variety of luxury fabric interior treatments, multiple TVs and video monitor systems for passenger entertainment. Special floorplans with wheel chair lifts, tie-downs and double wheel chair lift doors can be incorporated to meet federal ADA requirements.
